Water In The Well

Been no rain ‘round this house in quite a spell
Can’t remember when the last drop fell
That old sun burnin’ down as hot as hell
But you know, ain’t no water in the well

When you’re tied by a paper that you signed
It’s too late, it’s too late to change your mind
You say, “Lord, lord, I must have been blind!”
And you take any comfort you can find

Been no rain ‘round my house in quite a spell
Can’t remember when the last drop fell
That old sun burnin’ down as hot as hell
But you know, ain’t no water in the well
